Inspiring hope, wellness, resilience, and recovery for Vermonters

Hosted by Vermont State University

Who we are.

We are a statewide membership collaborative, representing mental health and substance abuse providers, state agencies, hospitals, professional associations, peers, families and more working to support practice improvement and workforce development in the Vermont system of care.

What we do.

We provide training, education and more: coaching and consultation, learning communities and other clinical resources, pilot projects, project management and evaluation, to help agencies, programs and individuals implement and improve practice to help the people they serve.

Projects

We create mental health advocacy programs to address the needs of Vermonters struggling with addiction and mental health in our communities. From promoting smoking cessation to improving emergency intervention procedures, we focus on sustaining meaningful impacts and fostering positive outcomes across the system of care.

Membership

VCPI is intended to be a self-sustaining free standing membership organization and we need broad representation of stakeholders to guide the future of the organization and inform our work in contributing to and defining best practices for Vermont.

“Moving towards positive wellness & wholeness requires safe, open, and honest conversations about mental health- with room for all voices and experiences around the table.”

— Alex Lehning, VCPI Executive Director
