FREE training opportunities related to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
Contingent on funding, the STAMPP grant will fund a limited number of slots for two virtual Postpartum Support International (PSI) training opportunities in July 2020:
Wednesday and Thursday, July 8th & 9th all day virtual PSI Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders Components of Care training: This is the introduction course and a prerequisite for all advanced PSI courses. Content of this training is the same as that covered in the in-person training hosted by PSI in VT in May 2018, as well as the Maternal Mental Health Online Certificate Course hosted by PSI & 2020 Mom. If you have already taken a version of this training, but want to take it again, you may request to be added to the waitlist. We will prioritize people who have never taken this training.
** ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND LIVE BOTH DAYS**
• Additional information about July 8th & 9th virtual training:
Sunday, July 12th all day virtual Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy training: Attendees MUST have taken the prerequisite Components of Care training OR equivalent (please reach out to discuss with us what might qualify) OR also request registration for the July 8-9 training in order to qualify for this advanced training. Following the completion of this training is an opportunity to become Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) by passing a certification exam backed by PSI and Pearson VUE. Please keep in mind these are ALL DAY trainings that must be attended LIVE. In addition, the advanced training takes place on a Sunday. Before reaching out with interest in these trainings, we ask that you determine whether or not you will be able to fully commit your time and attention to these in-depth virtual training experiences under summer/work-from-home circumstances.
If you are interested in either or both of these opportunities, please send the following information to Emily Goodrich at Emily.Goodrich@partner.vermont.gov
• Agency or organization’s name
• Email address
• Role/title or reason you are interested in the training
• Phone number
• Professional credentials such as LICSW, MD, RN, etc.
• If interested in advanced training, please share what prerequisite course you have taken and when it was completed
We anticipate having more interest than available spots in both trainings; if you are interested in attending either or both trainings, please respond promptly. In June we will contact you with either registration instructions OR waitlist information.
We are so excited to share this opportunity with providers across the state and grow the capacity of VT’s mental health and family-serving workforce to care for and treat women and families suffering from or at risk for maternal mental health disorders. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with additional questions to Emily.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for considering these free trainings and we look forward to hearing back from you.
