Inspiring hope, wellness, resilience, and recovery for Vermonters

Hosted by Vermont State University

Who we are.

VCPI is an independent nonprofit collaborative with a statewide membership. We serve mental health and substance abuse providers, organizations, schools, agencies, hospitals, professional associations, those with lived experience, and others working to support improvement & innovation across the Vermont system of care.

What we do.

VCPI offers unique opportunities to support learning & gathering: workshops and professional development trainings, conference & event management, coaching and consultation, facilitated learning communities, resources, and evaluation services. Our goal is to help organizations, programs and individual providers improve their mental health services.

The Collaborative

VCPI is a statewide collaborative in which member organizations engage in sustainable practice improvement and workforce development in the Vermont system of mental health care.

Projects

We create mental health advocacy programs to address the needs of Vermonters struggling with addiction and mental health in our communities. From promoting smoking cessation to improving emergency intervention procedures, we focus on sustaining meaningful impacts and fostering positive outcomes across the system of care.

Membership

VCPI is intended to be a self-sustaining free standing membership organization and we need broad representation of stakeholders to guide the future of the organization and inform our work in contributing to and defining best practices for Vermont.

“Moving towards positive wellness & wholeness requires safe, open, and honest conversations about mental health- with room for all voices and experiences around the table.”

— Alex Lehning, VCPI Executive Director
