2021 NAMI-VT Pathways to Wellness Conference

VCPI is pleased to sponsor NAMI Vermont’s annual educational event. This conference is a great opportunity for peers, advocates, family members, and mental health professionals to gather together and learn about resources and services that are available, hear stories of recovery and hope, and raise our voices against the stigma surrounding mental illness.

And this year, we are bringing you this conference virtually - for more information and to register, please visit our website at www.namivt.org/conference.

NAMI Member rate is $25, Non-Member rate is $45 and groups of 10+ can register together for $40 each. PLUS, there is no extra cost this year for CEUs and scholarships are available for individuals with limited income.

The day's schedule may feel a little different this year to accommodate a virtual platform, but we are still thrilled to be able to provide an amazing lineup of nationally and internationally known speakers to share recent research and lived experience stories.

Our presenters include:

Dr. William Walsh, PhD, FACN, the president of Walsh Research Institute and a key scientist driving the development of nutrient-based psychiatry;

Diana Chao, a first-generation Chinese-American and founder of Letters to Strangers, who has given workshops and speeches, including a TEDtalk, on youth mental health and her own experience with bipolar disorder;

Pete Earley, best-selling author of Crazy: A Father's Search Through America's Mental Health Madness, and Kevin Earley, a mentor for youth living with mental health issues. Pete and Kevin will share a father and son's perspective on Kevin's mental health crisis and his journey to recovery;

A Panel Discussion on "A Collaborative Approach to Crisis Intervention." Moderated by Kristin Chandler, J.D., the Coordinator for Team Two. Panelists include St. Albans Chief of Police Maurice Lamothe, Tony Stevens, MS, LCMHC, the Emergency Services Team Leader at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, and Dan Towle, MBA, NAMI Vermont's Outreach Coordinator for peer services.
