Trans-Affirming Counseling Against the Tide (online)

Join Dr. Gene Dockery & VCPI for Deepening the Practice: Trans-Affirming Counseling Against the Tide as we consider ethical care in a time of anti-trans legislation and increased barriers to wellness for transgender clients. Dr. Dockery shares their experience and takes us beyond the basics – helping us evolve our skills and responsiveness in an increasingly transphobic political climate. We’ll discuss barriers to care, navigating legal limitations, working with trans youth, legislative advocacy, safe practices for documentation, and more. This webinar is free and open to all Vermont mental health providers and student trainees.
