Across the system of mental health care, we recognize that Vermont's unique demographic and geographic challenges require innovative solutions. With increased stressors such as economic pressures and social isolation, the demand for mental health services is at an all-time high. Additionally - capacity, funding, and regulations in the field are constantly shifting. Our providers must be well-equipped to handle these issues with compassion and expertise. 

The Vermont Collaborative for Practice Improvement & Innovation is here to support your essential work. We are a nonprofit, member-driven organization focused on facilitating learning opportunities, conducting research, and organizing communities of practice. For over a decade, we have partnered with individual providers (volunteer, peer and professional), agencies, and organizations from around the state to coordinate professional & workforce development training where they are needed most. Current priorities include sustainable practice improvement, provider training & self-care, environmental mental health, and suicide prevention.

We believe that connectivity is key for mental health providers to thrive. Our members have access to the following benefits:

  • Professional Development: VCPI offers free and reduced-cost workshops, seminars, and training sessions (many with CEUs)that equip mental health workers with practical skills and meaningful data.

  • Resource Accessibility: Your contribution helps us create and distribute valuable resources such as research papers, toolkits, and online courses. Members receive priority notice and the best rates on training opportunities and special events. 

  • Networking Opportunities: We facilitate connections among providers throughout Vermont, fostering a community of support and collaboration across disciplines.
